CLASS DESCRIPTION:

Then she'll go onto demonstrate how different puns, prank phone calls and jokes can be used to show different points of pronunciation (minimal pairs, blended speech, etc.) and hopefully get your students to laugh while learning.
PRE-CLASS TASK: Please post your answers HERE on this class page in the comments section below.
(1) Agree or Disagree (and why): It has been said that once you understand a joke in a foreign language you are truly fluent.
(2) Answer (a) or (b) depending on your experience in the classroom.
a. If have used humor in the classroom, how did you do it? How did your students react? What would you change?
b. If you do NOT use humor in the classroom, why haven’t you?
BONUS (you do NOT need to answer this, but I’d love to have you share your ideas)
